So its been forever since I have blogged and I really want to get back to it. There have been many reasons that I haven’t been an active blogger lately and one of them being that my husband and I are expecting our first baby! Exciting times but also sorta nerve wracking. We are thrilled and excited to meet our lil one soon:) This post is a little different from my usual fashion and beauty posts but I guess I will be doing more of these but my blog will still mainly be fashion and beauty. So don’t panic you fashionistas I will not disappoint:)

There are just SO many things you need to get for a baby its insane and so overwhelming! The first time I walked into a baby store I just looked around at the endless items and walked out without getting anything! I thought of asking friends and family who have been through this to get some insight and guidance. It was very helpful since my sister also just had a baby so you kind of know what to expect and what is needed. So before purchasing anything I decided it’s important to make a list of the stuff I need before going crazy and buying everything I saw ( since baby stuff is so cute and irresistible you kinda want to buy everything).

In this post I will share with you what I have put in my diaper bag. This is just the initial one and obviously the items will change once the baby arrives and according to the baby’s needs.

It took me really long to actually get one of these since I just can’t for the life of me stick to one bag and I really wanted one that didn’t look boring and typical. Though I am not 100% satisfied buy this one to be honest but I want to see how it goes. I scored this Kate Spade diaper bag on boxing day and it was on 75% so that was great:)

It is a pretty roomy bag with pockets inside and it comes with a changing pad. I like that it has 2 options of carrying it (it comes with the long strap which might be easier to carry).

I have packed stuff in it for the hospital like blanket, clothes, Recieving blankets  etc. There are endless products out there in the market and it is so hard to resist buying the stuff especially if your on Etsy! So I had this Mac makeup pouch that I decided to use for all the little items that go in the bag. Its a pretty spacious pouch and can fit a lot of items in it.

So here is a list of some of the things:

– baby wipes: I got a lot of free samples of wipes so I want to try it out and the packing size is great for the bag

– Kleenex wipes

– Hand Sanitizer

– Nursing Cover ( I will be doing a separate post on this)

– Vaseline tube

– Diaper Gene disposable bags

– Burp Cloth

– Vicks

– New Born Pampers

– Destin Diaper rash cream – this is a sample size I also have then big tube

– Alcohol wipes

– Extra wash cloth

– I got these sample bottles of the Johnson cream and shampoo so I just put it in my bag but I will be using Aveeno and Honest products

The Kate Spade diaper bag comes with a changing pad but my sister got me this Skip Hop one which is great and i will probably be using this. It has a clip so you can hook it on to any bag. There are pockets to put diapers, wipes, etc in it which is great. It even comes with the case for the wipes.

are you planning on having your baby in Canada and then go back? Its a cute bag, but you’ll find out you don’t need too many things when you go out and you can just dump two diapers, wetwipe small bag, and a change of clothes in your normal purse when you go out.
Looks like you’re having a boy?? congrats!
