Makeup for Summer Time

7 Jun

It is that time of year again and living in the desert can get unbearably hot and humid! Which means your makeup is most definitely going to melt off. So here are some tips and tricks for makeup during the summer.

The first rule is ‘LESS IS ALWAYS MORE’ . Try not to apply to much makeup as it will melt off and then it just looks bad.

1. Use a primer before applying your foundation. Priming your face is important as it helps give a smooth canvas to start with and helps keep your makeup on longer. There are a lot of different type of primers so make sure you get the one that suits your skin type the best.

2. During the day time try using a tinted moisturizer or a light foundation. The Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation is great for the summer. Mineral foundation is also great which I use especially during the summer.

BB Creams are the hottest new beauty product that everybody has been raving about! BB Cream stands for blemish balm or blemish base. It not exactly a spot treatment but it is great for giving a smooth even base. It is perfect for the summer time and I recently recommended the Garnier BB cream to my sister and she just loves it!

Since it is so hot a lot of the times I just apply a light weight concealer on the necessary areas and apply a powder on top like the MAC compact.

3. It is also good to touch up your make up during the day or if you have oily skin then use blotting paper so there is no shine on your face. I love the Urban Decay De slick powder and Spray

4. Always make sure you set your makeup with powder

5. Stick to powder blushes and bronzers as cream blushes tend to melt and look shiny

6. Use an eye shadow primer for your eyes so the shadow stays on all day. The Urban Decay and MAC paint pots are great for that.

I hope these tips are helpful:)
